Rambles, v. 1

Considering the main page has been blank for over a week now, I'd say it is past time for me to write a little.

I suppose I could give you a little schtick about how the past year went, but that seems a little cliche. A year ago right now, I was in some random apartment in Manchester, NH, very drunk and asleep on a couch. This New Year's finds me in a beach house on Edisto Island, SC, with one glass of champagne long since consumed, CNN on the television with still more accounts of the tsunami, and my beloved Hemi sleeping and occasionally snoring next to me. In the past few weeks, I have attended four separate Christmas gatherings and a North Carolina funeral. I've been a little occupied, and this year is a little different than last year.

Please bear with me for the lack of posts. Internet access has been spotty and battles to the death with comment spam has taken most of the little time I've been online. With a little luck, we'll have something a bit more amusing soon.
