A Comment On Comments

I just wanted to add one thought here about folks leaving comments on the posts. Especially after last week where we had some lively interaction in the commetns sections of a few posts here and elsewhere, I want to encourage everyone to not hesitate a moment to add your own comments. Some folks are scared to leave a comment or are waiting for someone to leave the first one, but once it gets started we have some great discussions that get rolling.

Now, let me say I'm guilty of lurking around and not dropping a comment, and I've recently made a point to do better and add comments at other bogs more regularly. I'm trying to do better anyways.

So, if you're reading something and you've got two cents worth or even one cent's worth to add, by all means and without hesitation, please add your thoughts. That's one of the beauties of blogging is you get interaction with the writer in both emails and the comments, unlike many in the main stream media. So for the recent commenters, thanks so much for making the blogging ever more interesting.

I comment when I have something particularly clever to add, unlike now. I just question when to comment on my own comments. So, should I leave comments to my own post? Or do I let it alone? Or do I post a follow up post to the comments? I’m so confused. Just Damn!

Here here! I love reading comments as much as the story itself. And for anyone who blogs, we know that it is the comments that can make us feel all good and creamy inside. Innit? I mean really. I am addicted to them myself.

You know Dax, for a while there I stayed out of my own comments section because I figured that was where the readers got their say. I mean heck I've got the whole blog, I figured the readers could have their say and own the comments. And then nobody commented anymore.

There may have been other times, but the only time that comes to mind regarding posting to respond to comments was when Kara from "caffeinated something" ripped me about the post where I went and got a girl's phone number just because I could and I never intended to call.

Sha--thanks for the amen. I just realized I don't have you on my blogroll. Consider that fixed!

Uh oh Shalagh is talking about creamy. My porn filter might start blocking this site out.

Good call on the commenting...now I expect you to comment more often on ours!

...definitely we should comment to our commenters, right? I, for one, do not particularly enjoy one-sided conversations.
