Post Mortem

Well, as you all have read by now, our campaign has ended and I'll be returning to the great Southland in the next few days. It is an odd feeling to close down a campaign headquarters, especially in a state that did not have the opportunity to vote for your candidate. Regardless, the New Yorkers know how to wrap up a campaign--have a series of wakes!

Truth be told, I tired of the campaign post-mortem social gatherings Tuesday night, but there is something that just compels you to spend what little time you have left with your fellow campaign comrades.

I plan on taking a train back to the South and watching half of the United States unroll before my eyes. I'll have plenty of time that way to reflect, write, and figure out what to do next. This has been one helluva ride and I can't wait for the next trail. We shall see.

And as a post script, to quote again the movie Tin Cup:

You either ride her till she bucks ya, or ya don't ride at all.
