In all fairness to the Senator, his testimony delivered before the senate subcommittee was garnered as a result of his participation in the "Winter Soldier Investigation." This was a conference held January 31 - Feb. 2, 1971, in Detroit, MI, at which more than a hundred military personnel testified to exactly the sorts of things that Kerry mentioned.

If the venerable senator is a liar, aren't these folks also liars? And if they didn't see these things, why lie? Particularly when that lie attaches their own names, rank, and branch of service to said lies.

Now, I'm primarily here to hear about your vivid single social life, and I'm rarely disappointed (though a little due to your absence for most of this month).

But what's fair is fair.

I hope not to be asked, as a Democrat, to vote for the yankee senator from Massachusetts. I'd prefer Edwards or Clark.

But, he beats the alternative.
