October 29, 2003Hungry ManI haven't noted a recent addition to the blogroll until now. I do so now because the blogger who calls himself Allah Is In The House has disappointed me. As you may have noticed from Kevin or Kelley, he has also made himself a fine new home. Though Southern, I try to be very aware, tolerant, and appreciative of other cultures, religions, and their traditions. However, only days before a very special holiday, the one who calls himself the Allah discusses food and proclaims some sort of doughnut holiday. And since then, he has not made any mention or note of the holy month of Ramadan! How can one who professes to be the leader of a great religion neglect mention of the advent and continuance of such an important event as this holiday? Perhaps, he is too busy quelling his daylight hunger pangs by drinking copious amounts of water. More likely, he is not really Allah, but rather a part of the vast Zionist conspiracy recently unveiled by Easterbrook and the Malaysian president. Even President George W. Bush who this pretend deity professes hatred for, recognized this precious holiday with a message to Muslims in the U.S. and around the world. So there you have it folks, the allah pundit is a false prophet. A blog cog in the wheel of the so-called vast Zionist conspiracy to turn the world against Muslims. The reason I haven't done any Ramadan jokes is the same reason I don't do jokes about Mohammed or the Koran or the Hajj or any other mainstream Islamic figure/belief/ritual. Namely, I don't want to hurt the feelings of Muslims who take their religion seriously and practice it peacefully. It's my one concession to good taste. Thanks for reading! If you are shot by an Arab looking person tomorrow then you should not complain, they are just following your own logic. There are always bad people in this world. Being a bad person has nothing to do with religion, the most horrific world wars, genocides and destructive ideologies (fascism, communism, nazism, terrorism) are Western ideologies.
