October 27, 2003A Thought On A Document
A Virginia planter penned this document with the assistance of a Boston lawyer, a Philadelphia inventor and printer, a Connecticut surveyor and merchant, and a New York lawyer. For more than two centuries, their document has served as the light upon the hill that all people who long to be free hold close to their hearts. It still stands today as epitome of American self-reliance, tolerance, equality, and, above all, a love for freedom and liberty. The United States of America’s Declaration of Independence speaks as strongly today as it did on that hot summer day in Philadelphia over 200 years ago. Please add your comments. Absolutely. It's one pretty amazing document. I'm proud, and extraordinarily lucky, to be an American. Posted by: lotus at October 27, 2003 03:05 PMPost a comment

Howdy!
Welcome to my humble little corner of the blogosphere! Not too many rules here--love your neighbor, go easy on the brews, and don't shoot the jukebox. Make yourself at home and remember Momma don't like for you to put your feet on the kitchen table.
