August 25, 2003PortentsI have recently been able to describe my single life as this: Weird, odd, and unusual circumstance are drawn to me by some powerful invisible force. It is almost as if I am the well intended earth and those strange circumstances are my moon, pulling my tides, affecting the moods of people who walk upon me. That being said, it has been a full moon for near two fortnights. ~~From my second post to this blog I should have known that by recovering and re-posting those old adventures would lead to an entirely new adventure. Some interesting moments of the weekend--waking up on the Mississippi River levee (in the state of Mississippi!), seeing the nation's largest oxbow lake, noting the good progress on the construction of the new U.S. 82 bridge over the Mississippi River, and seeing a Delta sunrise. Oh wait--that's just this morning. Are we getting an idea of how insane my last 18 hours were? More later. Work beckons.
