Fight Night

Normally, I'm not that big of a boxing fan, but tonight's different. A fellow Little Rocker who was an Olympic Bronze medalist is going for his first title--the vacant NABF Middleweight belt. He's going for it in Alltel Arena in Little Rock. His name is Jermain 'Bad Intentions' Taylor. Let me share something with all of my gentle readers and particularly to those who are boxing fans--this kid is the real deal. He will be one of the next greats.

Don't believe me? See for yourself. Turn your televisions to ESPN2 at 8 Central where it will be aired live from Little Rock. If I could have only got away from the office to go tonight, I'd be there.

Oh, and check the ring girl for round three out. She's a friend of mine in this little town in the South. Knock 'em dead, Chrissy!

I actually love boxing. Sorry didn't have time to catch that one.

I do have to say that I tend to make fun of ring card girls. Just WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too cheesy.

When a promoter friend asked me to be one my response was "If I'm getting into the ring, it'll be with my chin down and my hands up." If you know anything about boxing, you know what I'm saying.
