Southern Comfort 1 1/2 oz. amaretto 1 1/2 oz. orange juice Combine sloe gin, Southern Comfort, amaretto and orange juice in a mixing glass over ice. Shake or stir. Strain into shot glasses. If I'm in the mood for Southern Refreshment, it's bourbon and branch. A fairly high quality bourbon, Evan Walker or Knob Creek (and remember, whatever else you can say about it, Jack Daniels is not bourbon) with water from a tap which has run for a minute (we don't have branches round these parts) on the side.
