Carnival Of The Vanities Goes Back Roadin'

dirtroad.jpeg

Welcome to the Carnival of The Vanities 40th edition! In honor of the rural South, our theme will be 'backroadin' songs. Each entry will be matched with an appropriate backroadin' song. With 60 entries, this promises to keep you reading for a spell! I've divided this Carnival into the following sections: What They're Talkin' About In The Coffee Shop (News & Politics, with a special subsection of Political Parody), Courtin' And Relationships, Business and Media, Personal Reflections, and Telling Jokes 'Round the Campfire (humor and culture).

And there is a contest involved with this Carnival--The first person who can email me with the most correct singers or bands who recorded each song listed by close of business Thursday (5 PM US CST) wins a A Single Guy In The South Coffee Mug!

Special thanks to BigWig for his assistance and his vision for developing the Carnival in the first place!

I hope all of your blurbs are acceptable and, if I have overlooked anyone let me know as quick as you can and I'll get it fixed up right away!

Remember Carnival #41 will be hosted next week by Laurence at Amish Tech Support.

Please allow me to take a moment to point out one of the contributors in particular--Kevin at WizBang has helped me (with a great deal of patience) learn how to operate his new Blogger compatible trackbacker. That being said:
